MH Governments NEW GUIDELINES for forensic medical examination of sexually assaulted cases: Move on PIL filed ON his STUDY REPORT.

New Maharashtra Govts Rules for forensic exam of Sexual Assault: High court issued final order in Public Interest Litigation (PIL) filed on his study report’. The report was submitted to the government agencies in 2009 and PIL was filed in Jan 2010. 4 yearlong battle come to an end with positive result.

Up-grade Emergency Medical Services: NHRCs direction to Union Govt- Move on his Study Report.

Emergency Medical Services- A cause of concern. NHRCs direction to Govt. National Human Rights Commission took serious cognizance of his study report highlighting the pitiable quality of emergency medical care in India and has directed the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare to upgrade the emergency medical services. This report of 39 pages was submitted to the various government agencies in August 2013.

MH Governments BANNED three decades old practice of unnecessary collection of semen sample of rape accused: Move on his Representation & Study Report.

Government of Maharashtra- Home Department issued direction to stop 30 year old unnecessary practice of  collection of semen of the rape accused by the doctors on the request of police. This move came on the study report submitted by him to the Union and State Ministries of Home and Health in 2012  to stop this practice which was prevalent all over the country.

MH Governments Decision to STOP the practice of asking unscientific, irrational and illegal questions to doctors by POLICE while examining rape victim: Move on his Representation & Study Report.

New guidelines for cops: Sexual Assault / rape Cases: Government of Maharashtra (Home department)  issued new guidelines for cops probing rape cases. This move came on 64 page study report entitled "unnecessary, unscientific and legally irrelevant questions by the cops to the doctors at the time of forensic medical examination of sexual assault cases"  submitted by him to the Union and State ministries of Home and Health in 2011.

Govt of Maharashtra developed new rules in PIL filed on his study report for Forensic Medical Examination of Sexual Assault Cases.

Under this unit forensic consultants and PGs handle all types of clinical medico-legal work of the hospital 24/7 thus it has relived the clinician from medico legal work.

Cognizance by Central Health Ministry of representations submitted by him regarding Computer Printed Medico-legal Reports and its generation through Forensic Medical Software

Ministry of Health & family Welfare- Govt of India has taken cognizance of the suggestions (submitted in Dec 2011) given by him “regarding preparation of computer printed (Hard Copy) Forensic Medical post-mortem reports and other Forensic Medical Reports/ Medicolegal reports and to develop a Forensic Software to generate the said reports". Government have also requested him to provide any guidelines and policies which he may have developed/ implemented in the state of Maharashtra which will be helpful in taking the necessary action at their end.

PIL filed in 2010 on his study report entitled "Pitiable and Horrendous quality of Medical Examination of Sexual Assault victims in India"

Public Interest Litigation (PIL) was filed in 2010 on his study report entitled "Pitiable and Horrendous quality of Medical Examination of Sexual Assault victims in India" by Social worker Dr. Ranjana Pardhi and Adv Vijay Patait.  On Bombay High court- Nagpur Bench direction govt of Maharashtra has created various formats for Forensic Medical Examination of Sexual Assault victim and accused, Forensic Medical Age Estimation Format etc and Manual for the Medical Officers. Govt has accepted around 42 suggestions given by him while preparing the said documents.
